Three Songriters, One Voice: Meet the People Behind The People in the Picture - April 1, 2011

"Beaches" novelist Iris Rainer Dart draws on her past to imagine The People in the Picture, a new Broadway musical, with music by Mike Stoller and Artie Butler.

Improbably perhaps, the lone female comedy writer for "The Sonny and Cher Show" and the composer who kept Elvis Presley in a memorable state of perpetual motion constitute two-thirds of the creators responsible for The People in the Picture, an original Holocaust-haunted musical that is the final Broadway show of the 2010-2011 theatre season. Now in previews, it officially opens April 28 in a Roundabout Theatre Company production at Studio 54." - Playbill.com

'Brief Encounter' makes a splash on Broadway!

Arm’s-Length Soul Mates, Swooning but Stoically Chaste - September 28, 2010

"The acrobatics of love are performed in high style in “Brief Encounter,” which is surely the most enchanting work of stagecraft ever inspired by a movie.

The physical activities that occur in this exquisite British-born production, which opened on Tuesday night at Studio 54, are both more everyday and exotic than that, routinely described but seldom enacted." - Ben Brantley, New York Times

"What better birthday present could Stephen Sondheim receive than a chance to finally star in his own Broadway show?

Musical theater's greatest living composer and lyricist, who turned 80 in March, is getting just that with Sondheim on Sondheim (***½ out of four), the funny, affectionate and revealing tribute that opened Thursday at Studio 54." - USAToday.com
