Q: Where are you from?

A: Cleveland Heights, Ohio--though we moved around a bit when I was a kid.  One of my favorite homes was in Clarksville, TN when I was 5 and I won the talent show with a partially off-key, out of tempo version of "Chattanooga Choo Choo". 

Q: When did you know you wanted to be an actor?

A: Maybe during "Chattanooga Choo Choo".  But probably during the Dairy Queen chocolate-dipped cone my parents got me to celebrate.

Alexander Gemignani, Nicole Parker & More Join The People in the Picture on Broadway - February 3, 2011

"Complete casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway musical The People in the Picture. The show, which features a book & lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart and music by Mike Stoller and Artie Butler, will begin performances on April 1 and open on April 28 at Studio 54, directed by Leonard Foglia. Roundabout Theatre Company will produce the limited engagement, set to play through June 19, 2011." - Broadway.com

From the Archive: Tennessee Williams and Roundabout

 

The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore, Tennessee Williams’ play set in a remote Italian town, centers on Mrs. Flora Goforth, an acerbic, oft-married, woman-of-the-world who, faced with death, recalls her life’s story to the much-younger Christopher Flanders, a man caught trespassing on her estate.

One of Williams’ lesser known plays, Roundabout is pleased to breathe new life into it with an inspired performance by Olympia Dukakis (in previews at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre/Laura Pels Theatre).

Tennessee Williams is certainly no stranger to Roundabout Theatre Company.  Over the past 35 years we have revived Williams’ plays seven times, most recently The Glass Menagerie, starring Judith Ivey, Patch Darragh, Keira Keeley, and Michael Mosely.
