Dinner With Friends Casting Announcement

Jeremy Shamos

Darren Pettie

Marin Hinkle

Maria Dizzia

It is my pleasure to announce the full cast for our production of Donald Margulies Dinner with Friends, directed by Pam MacKinnon at the Laura Pels Theatre this winter. The cast will feature Jeremy Shamos, Darren Pettie, Marin Hinkle, and Maria Dizzia.

I am so pleased to welcome Darren and Marin back to the Roundabout stage. Darren last appeared at Roundabout in 2011’s The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore. He was seen recently in Strange Interlude at London’s National Theatre and Detroit at Playwrights Horizons. Marin, who appeared in Roundabout’s 1996 production of A Thousand Clowns, is likely best known for her series-regular role as Judith on CBS’s “Two and a Half Men.” She is currently playing in Luce at LCT3

I am thrilled to welcome Jeremy and Maria to the Roundabout family. Both have joined us for in-house and donor playreadings, but Dinner with Friends will mark their first full productions with the company.

Jeremy’s rich New York career includes, most recently, The Assembled Parties (MTC), Glengarry Glen Ross, and Clybourne Park, for which he received a 2012 Tony nomination. Maria was nominated for a Tony award for her performance in 2010’s In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) and starred in last season’s Belleville at New York Theatre Workshop. She has also starred in a number of film and TV roles, and can currently be seen in the hit Netflix series “Orange is the New Black.”

The creative team includes Allen Moyer (Sets), Ilona Somogyi (Costumes), Jane Cox (Lights), and Joshua Schmidt (Original Music and Compositions).

I am truly excited to see this talented, dynamic cast tackle such a wonderful, complex, and funny play.
