It is my pleasure to announce that Firdous Bamji, Bill Buell, Nick Choksi, Romola Garai, Neal Huff, Caroline Lagerfelt, Omar Maskati, Tim McGeever, Brenda Meaney, Philip Mills, Ajay Naidu, Bhavesh Patel, Lee Aaron Rosen and Rajeev Varma will join Rosemary Harris in Indian Ink by Tom Stoppard.
I’m thrilled to welcome back our Roundabout Alumni. Neal was last seen at Roundabout in The Foreigner, Lee was last with us in The Big Knife, and (among their many Roundabout credits) Tim and Bill were both most recently in Cyrano de Bergerac at the American Airlines Theatre.
I am also happy to introduce Romola, Firdous, Nick, Omar, and this incredible cast to the Roundabout family. Romola, playing the central role of Flora Crewe, has many West End and film credits in London, including Atonement. Firdous is returning to Indian Ink playing Nirad, the father of the character he originated in the 1999 American premiere in San Francisco. Nick was last seen in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, and Omar played Off-Broadway last season in Disgraced.
The design team includes John Carrafa (choreography), Candice Donnelly (costumes), Neil Patel (sets), Dan Moses Schreier (sound), and Robert Wierzel (lights).
With Carey Perloff at the helm, I cannot wait to see this fine company perform Indian Ink.
Indian Ink is the first production in our 2014-2015 Season and will begin performances on September 4 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold & Miriam Steinberg Centre for Theatre. For more information and tickets, please visit our website.
