I’m happy to announce that schedules and theaters have finally aligned, and Significant Other will be transferring to Broadway in early 2017 with its full cast and design team intact.
The show will move into a Shubert Theatre to be announced, and performances will begin in mid-February.
The production will mark playwright Joshua Harmon and director Trip Cullman’s Broadway debuts. I’m incredibly proud to see yet another alum of the Roundabout Underground (Josh’s play Bad Jews premiered in the Underground and subsequently moved to the Pels) taking the leap to Broadway. And I am so happy that Josh’s sharp, funny, and sensitive play will be shared with a wider audience – and will again be brought to life by a phenomenal cast, including Gideon Glick and Lindsay Mendez.
This transfer marks another exciting achievement for our New Play Initiative. Thank you to everyone – most especially to Jill Rafson – for making the NPI such a vital part of Roundabout’s mission.

Even if my daughter wasn’t in the show, I’d rush to see this amazing play. The writing, directing and the brilliantly talented cast make this one of the
most poignant, funny, human and every other accolade I can think of.
I fully intend to see it as often as possible and bravo to you all!

Even if my daughter wasn’t in this play, I’d rush to see it on Broadway again and again! Josh’s writing, Tripp’s direction and the brilliantly talented cast make this play one of the funniest, most poignant, human stories to date.

We were lucky enough to be over from the UK for the original run and got to see this.
Loved it !!
It’s funny and wise and sad and uplifting , it was sharply written and directed, so pleased it’s dusting off the original dream team and coming to life once again so more people can enjoy it !
Loved the relationship between Gideon and Lindsay

So glad to hear this. This was undoubtedly one of my favorite plays in years. It was funny, tender, sad and realistic, and superbly written, directed and acted. Can’t wait to see it again!
